Margie Gillis Workshop New Dance Horizons and the Youth Ballet and Contemporary Dance of Saskatchewan (YBCS) are excited to present internationally renowned dancer and choreographer Margie Gillis who will be conducting two workshops at the YBCS studio January 30 & 31, 2012. Gillis is the first modern dancer to receive the Order of Canada (1987) and has choreographed and performed more than 80 original pieces. She was the first modern dancer in the world to perform, teach and lecture in China after the cessation of the Cultural Revolution, and she has choreographed two solo shows for Cirque du Soleil抯 critically-acclaimed Las Vegas production of The Beatles: LOVE.
