Learning & Teaching

The Learning and Teaching series features various forms of body work through ongoing professional dance classes to specialty master classes.

New Dance Horizons also works with the professional dance community through its Blueprint Series to develop the choreographic skills of emerging artists.

In addition, Learning and Teaching features the wonderful Pelican Project. A community based project that has seen NDH collaborate with schools, dance programs, arts festivals, galleries, and artist residencies. This Processional Event is an excellent introduction to dance for communities that are seeking a new and innovative way to explore dance. During the winter months, the pelicans migrate and the procession is led by Regina's famous Rabbits.

Audience members are then encouraged to engage in a dialogue about the work. Discussions with the artists will be led by individuals who are both knowledgeable and inquisitive.
