 2009-2010 House of Dance Series Deanna Peters in collaboration with Justine Chambers February 18 & 19, 2010, 8:00 PM February 20, 2010, 2:00 PM NDH House of Dance Embodying the hand positions and holding patterns in the drawings/paintings of Egon Schiele, Justine A. Chambers and Deanna Peters combine forces in One + The Other, an other-worldly look at what is behind the faces that we show. Taking ideas from Erving Goffman’s writings about ‘front’ and ‘back’ stage in everyday life, this work explores the form of the duet in how two bodies in space can relate the complexity of one’s self.
Rouge-gorge / in fur till spring Prairie Dance Circuit June 3 & 4, 2010 8:00 PM NDH House of Dance The Prairie Dance Exchange culminates from a unique partnership among four major Western Canadian contemporary dance artist/presenters to present each others’ local artists. Our inaugural exchange, co-curated by NDH’s Artistic Director Robin Poitras and DSW’s Artistic Director Davida Monk, will feature the work of Regina-based artists Joelle Arnusch, Robert Regala and Johanna Bundon presented in at Dancers’ Studio West in Calgary, and Calgary artists Hilary Maxwell and Alison Ryan will be featured in NDH’s House of Dance in Regina on June 3 & 4, 2010.  |
