New Dance Horizons (NDH) invites the community to celebrate 40 years of dance this Mother’s Day weekend at Mother’s Day Tea: A Ruby Jubilee on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM (doors open at 1:45 PM), at 10 Research Drive.

This elegant afternoon event will bring together culinary artistry, dance, fashion, and celebration in honour of spring and the spirit of gathering. Guests will enjoy an unforgettable experience featuring celebrated chef CJ Katz’s curated special afternoon tea menu entitled A Secret Garden, alongside performances by NDH Founding Artistic Director Robin Poitras and guests, presenting dance works created with Edward Poitras.

The afternoon will also feature “Meadows,” a wearable art collection by Melanie Monique Rose, wearable art collection by Saskatchewan artist
​Val Moker, as well as historical costume fashion vignettes drawn from NDH’s archives. Guests are invited to explore a silent auction, enjoy door prizes, and discover a host of earthly and edible delights throughout the event.

Mother’s Day Tea: A Ruby Jubilee celebrates the creativity, beauty, and artistry that have shaped NDH’s legacy, offering a distinctive and memorable way to mark the Mother’s Day season.
