Floating In Land: An Archive
Floating In Land is a unique reservoir of writings for and about creation work presented by New Dance Horizons. Featured here are articles, reviews, interviews, poetic responses and photographic images – in short, a diverse collection of documentations, explorations, reprints and special commissions that delve into the heart of what makes NDH such a significant part of the contemporary dance landscape.
“New Dance Horizons goes beyond dance. It’s about saying, ‘okay, you’ve seen this, you’ve seen that, but you haven’t seen this and we’re going to show it to you.’ It’s about presenting the audience with a survey of what dance is right now, and having people come away exclaiming “Wow, now that was an experience.” (Michael Toppings) Floating In Land deepens that experience, and extends it beyond the ephemeral moment into a place that can be returned to again and again.
